There are so many cute girls skirts and dresses that I want to make. I thought I'd start with something simple like a skirt. I have several really cute onesies that I thought would pair nicely with twirly skirts. I spent a few bucks at Joann fabrics on some cute fabrics. Since Kate is so small, I was able to get the pre-cut "fat quarters" for just a little over a dollar. I followed a few online tutorials loosely and came up with this. Overall I am happy with the outcome. It looks cute on Kate. I will make a few modifications for the next skirt so that I don't have loose strings after washing. Hopefully I will get some time in the next couple weeks to make another few before its too cold for skirts anymore!
Ahhh, summer is flying by. This is my last week of "freedom." Next week I start back with work. I'm frustrated that I have to go back and nervous that it's an entirely new job. I'm just going to focus on all the positives and do the best I can. Kate will be staying with Ryan's mom so at least I'm not worrying about a stranger spending all day with her.
Erin's wedding is in 3 weeks and I think I've gained weight lately. I need to fit comfortably in the already bigger than my "normal" size dress. I'm thinking maybe I'll try The Shred. But I hear it's painful. And where will I find the time. I bought the Wii Fit 2 weeks ago and can't even find the time for that. I really should just give up baking cookies for awhile, HAH!
